The wonderful hillside location of Pecorama is the home of the world’s foremost manufacturer of model railway track, PECO Streamline and PECO Setrack. So it is not surprising that superbly crafted model railway layouts in many scales and gauges greet the visitor when they first enter the famous PECO Model Railway Exhibition.
The Beer Heights Light Railway, an award-winning 7¼ inch gauge passenger-carrying miniature railway, takes you on a mile-long ride through Flower-filled Gardens with stunning views overlooking Lyme bay.

The Model Railway Exhibition aims to inspire modellers by demonstrating a variety of practical small layouts to suit every home ñ with options indoors and in the garden.
All boast interactive features and an impressive amount of detail, even those who don’t model will marvel at.

The specialist Model Railway and Book Shop has an extensive range of products by PECO and many other major manufacturers.
A good selection of traditional small items are also on sale, including postcards and even rock with Beer running through it!
Beer Heights Light Railway
Considered by many the finest 7 1/4 inch gauge railway in Britain.
Over a mile long and high on the hillside above the village of Beer, a ride on the railway offers wonderful views over Lyme Bay to distant Portland Bill.
Pecorama Gardens
PECORAMA is well known for its attractive flower-filled gardens and in recent years the Millennium Garden has become an important feature.
Completed in July 2000, a series of celestially themed garden rooms, Sun, Moon and Rainbow, are linked by scented walkways, special water features and stunning stonework.
Food & Drink
There are many different facilities that provide the perfect refreshments. The Garden Room Restaurant offers an extensive selection of hot and cold food and drinks. Enjoy a spot of lunch either indoors or on the garden veranda, all meals are freshly prepared on site. The ‘Orion’ Pullman Car specialises in morning coffee and afternoon teas with homemade scones and cakes. Sit under the Station canopy and watch the world go by and enjoy your snack. The T & Ice shop is located in the Gardens close to the crazy golf course and children’s play areas and is an ideal place to enjoy an ice-cream and quench your thirst while having fun.
There is also a garden area set aside for picnics.
Children’s Entertainment
Safety surfaced children’s activity areas feature play equipment, ranging from toddlers swings to a wooden maze, cable slide and challenging climbing frame, whilst families can also test their skill and stamina on the Crazy Golf course and Fitness Trail.
