As some of you may know, Michael Sheard was the Hon. President of the Exewing Fundraisers, who sadly died in August last year after a long battle with cancer.

MIchael Sheard was an inspiration to us here at the Exewing, his humour and good spirits always helped us through and make each Star Wars Day special. To be honest, one of the main reasons we got to day 10 was so we could see Michael every year. As commitee member Bruce Smith said "Michael was like that favourite uncle you only get to see at christmas" .

This video was produced as a tribute to Michael Sheard and showcases some of his memorable performances in films and televisions such as Riddle of the Sands, Escape to Athena, Star Wars, Doctor Who and Grange Hill. The video was shown during the opening ceremony of Star Wars Day 10 to an audience of over 800 people.

So here it is our tribute to the great Micheal Sheard. He will be dearly missed.
